How we keep this guide trustworthy
Our standards for sourcing, original writing, ratings, AI use, advertising and corrections.
How we research, write, rate and correct everything on The Crypto Guide.
Our standards
- Accuracy over speed. Facts are checked against primary sources — regulators, court records, official documentation and on-chain data — before publication.
- Original work. We write in our own words and cite our sources. We do not copy other sites.
- No predictions or personal advice. We explain; we don’t tell you what to buy or when.
- Dated and reviewed. Every guide and field entry shows its last review date. Time-sensitive topics such as regulation and taxes are reviewed more often.
The Utility Lens
Coin field entries are rated on real-world usage, token necessity, decentralization and track record. The method, definitions and limits are documented in The Utility Lens. Ratings are editorial judgments, not investment advice, and they are never for sale.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools to help research, draft and check content. Every published page is reviewed against cited sources, and the editorial team is responsible for what we publish. If an AI-assisted page contains an error, we treat it like any other error: we fix it and note the update date.
Advertising, affiliates and independence
Partner placements are labeled “Partner”. Affiliate relationships, when we have them, never affect which products we cover, how we rate them, or the order of comparisons. See our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Found a mistake? Tell us. We review every correction request, fix confirmed errors promptly, and update the page’s review date.
Market data
Prices, market caps and charts come from CoinGecko’s public API. Data can be delayed or inaccurate; always confirm on the platform you use before trading.
