What is Allora?

Allora is a decentralized network where many independent machine learning models compete and are combined to produce predictions, such as price forecasts used by DeFi apps and AI agents. Its own blockchain and the ALLO token launched on mainnet in November 2025. ALLO pays for predictions and rewards the people who run models and check their accuracy.

Utility Lens

What Allora actually does

Supplies aggregated machine learning predictions to apps, paying model operators and checkers in ALLO.

Real-world usage
earlySeveral DeFi and agent projects have integrated the predictions, but paid fee volume is not published and emissions fund much of the reward pool.
Token necessity
integralALLO pays for inferences and topic fees and is staked by validators and reputers, though apps could get predictions from other sources.
Decentralization
limitedAnyone can run a model, but backers and core contributors hold nearly half of supply and the foundation controls ecosystem funds.
Track record
newThe ALLO token and mainnet launched in November 2025, less than a year ago, after a long testnet period; no major hacks have been reported.

How we rate

What it’s used for

Developers create prediction 'topics', model operators (workers) submit forecasts, and reputers score them once the true answer is known. According to Allora, its predictions have been used in live products by Coinbase AgentKit, PancakeSwap, Drift and Steer. Consumers can choose what they pay for predictions, and rewards to participants come from those fees plus newly issued ALLO, so a large share of rewards is currently emission-funded.

What actually happens
Allora runs many independent machine learning models on prediction tasks and blends their outputs, weighting each by how accurate it is expected to be. ALLO pays for those predictions and rewards the model operators and reputers, but newly minted tokens currently fund much of those rewards.

AI crypto, explained

How Allora works

Everything on Allora is organized into topics. Each topic sets a target, such as an asset's price in an hour, plus a scoring rule for judging answers. Workers plug in their own machine learning models and submit predictions. Some workers also forecast how accurate the other workers are likely to be under current conditions, which lets the network weight models differently depending on context. The network then blends all of these into one combined prediction for the consumer.

Reputers close the loop. When the real outcome becomes known, they score each worker against it, and the results feed into rewards. Reputers and network validators stake ALLO, and holders can delegate stake to them. ALLO lives natively on the Allora chain as an ICS20-standard token, and it can be bridged to Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain.

Consumers pay for predictions in ALLO under a pay-what-you-want model, and topics that attract no fees earn no rewards. Fees are paid out before new tokens are minted, and the foundation says this is meant to offset emissions as usage grows. Until fee volume is large, though, much of what workers and reputers earn comes from newly issued ALLO under a declining, Bitcoin-like schedule.

Key moments

  1. 2024In May, Allora announces it will provide AI services across the zkSync ecosystem, ahead of its own mainnet.
  2. 2025In October the Allora Foundation publishes ALLO tokenomics with a 1 billion maximum supply.
  3. 2025Allora mainnet and the ALLO token launch on November 11, with listings on exchanges including Binance and Kraken.

Supply

ALLO has a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, with 20.05% circulating at launch. Backers hold 31.05% and core contributors 17.50%; both are locked for 12 months, when 33% of them unlock at once, and the rest unlocks steadily over the next 24 months; 21.45% is reserved for network emissions on a declining schedule. Inference fees are distributed before new tokens are minted, which the foundation says should reduce inflation if usage grows.

Risks to understand

  • Backer and core contributor tokens, nearly half of supply, stay locked until about November 2026, 12 months after launch; 33% of them unlock at that point and the rest over the following two years.
  • Rewards depend heavily on emissions while paid prediction fees remain small.
  • Prediction quality in financial markets can fail suddenly, and apps that rely on these signals carry that risk.
  • Bridged versions on several chains add smart contract and bridge risk.

Allora FAQ

What does Allora actually predict?

Whatever a topic defines. Many current topics are crypto price and market forecasts used by DeFi apps and trading agents.

What is a reputer?

A participant who stakes ALLO and scores workers' predictions against the real outcome once it is known.

Do I have to pay a set price for predictions?

No. Allora uses a pay-what-you-want model, but topics that attract no fees stop earning rewards.
